CMT will celebrate the year in country music with a live special airing on Dec. 3, the network announced yesterday.

It marks the first time the country network will air its “Artists of the Year” special live, and not pre-taped.

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line and Hunter Hayes will be honored as the CMT 2013 Artists of the Year.

The five honorees will gather for the 90-minute special in Nashville.
