Rockers ZZ Top have scrapped the remainder of their North American summer tour with guitar great Jeff Beck to allow bass player Dusty Hill to recover from a hip injury.

The 65-year-old, who recently underwent surgery to remove kidney stones, needed medical attention after falling on the trio’s tour bus on Tuesday and he was advised to sit out a series of shows, beginning with ZZ Top’s gig in Michigan on Wednesday night.

There were 13 dates remaining on the joint tour and Hill and his bandmates decided it would be best to call off the tour.
